A leader in software and systems engineering, Wassym has rich experience in the consumer, semiconductor, internet of things and automotive industries. At Rivian, he built a multi-disciplinary, cross-functional team to meet the complex and unique challenge of building new vehicle experiences from scratch.

Carsten Helbing

CO-CEO & COO

With a background in mechanical engineering, Carsten began his career as a graduate engineer at Volkswagen in 2001. There, he held various management positions in research and development rising to serve as Volkswagen Group Chief Technology Engineer, as well as a member of the Executive Board of the Group’s own company, “AI-LAB.”
